Student & Parent FAQs
Getting Started
We recommend waiting for the onboarding call where possible, as it helps ensure students are placed in the correct sets and fully understand how everything works before beginning lessons.
The onboarding call is a bespoke strategy call and helps us explain how lessons work, recommend the best sets, answer any questions, and make sure students can access the platform properly before starting.
Yes, if needed, students can begin lessons beforehand if they already know which sets they’d like to attend. The onboarding call is mandatory.

No worries, lesson recordings and practice material are uploaded afterwards so students can catch up at their own pace.
That’s completely fine. Students can use recordings flexibly whilst away and continue normally afterwards. We can also arrange pauses if needed, so please just let us know.
Currently, lesson timings remain the same throughout holidays unless otherwise announced.
Yes, students can ask questions throughout lessons using the chat and the Q&A, and tutors/TAs will support them during the session.
Sets & Progress
Yes, we can usually recommend a more suitable set based on lesson feedback and assessment performance. Please let us know how they’re finding the lessons and which set they’re currently attending, and we’ll be happy to advise.
No worries, students can use lesson recordings and uploaded resources to catch up on any missed content. We also regularly revisit and recap topics throughout the course, so they will naturally come across much of the content again over time
Yes, students who consistently attend lessons and engage with resources should cover the full curriculum over time.
Assessments
Assessments take place every 2 weeks.
No worries, new students who have only recently joined do not usually need to complete the current assessment cycle.
Please ensure you’ve received a confirmation email after submitting. On the new platform, assessments will also show as “Submitted” once fully completed.
Assessment feedback is usually emailed within 48-72 hours of submission.
In most cases, this means the final “Submit” button may not have been pressed at the end of the assessment. Please check for a submission confirmation email or “Submitted” status on the platform.
That’s absolutely fine. Please let us know when you’d ideally like the deadline extended to, and we’ll arrange this where possible.
Platform & Resources
Workbooks are available on the platform within each course. If you have trouble accessing them, please let us know and we’ll happily send them directly or guide you with it.
Practice questions and additional resources are uploaded onto the platform alongside lesson recordings.
Please let us know and we will add this.
Please let us know what texts they cover. English Language support remains fully relevant. For Literature, some texts may differ depending on school/exam board, but students can still benefit from exam technique, essay structure, analysis skills, and shared themes across texts.
